BEFORES AND AFTERS

I promised you all pictures of the before and after projects I have been working on. We and in We I mean Kevin and my dad built a deck a few years ago, we have not done anything in our yard since. With school and everything I just havent found the time; but now we have started here is the before picture of the deck . While the color is super pretty Kevin likes the look of the older worn wood better. I dont know if it is for lack of motivation though, but this time I went with him to buy the sealer and I got some with a honey color to it. So our deck will once again have color. Also the swing is brand new in this picture but now we need a new one. So I dont know if the before and after pictures are really that great, you can see what we have done and what we have not done :) here is the after.

You can't really see but we made our hot tub patio out of flag stone Kevin laid it all in one weekend I was impressed. Then I dug out the flower beds and planted the plants and placed the flag stone where I wanted it. It is nice to finally have some plants. We also put up a fence!!! Saxon loves it!! Sometimes it makes him mad- and he still runs around the side of the house to go to the front yard and then gets stopped, but he loves being able to go and sit outside and not have to be on a lead. I has been so nice. When I wake up in the mornings I just open the door and they run out and I dont have to think anymore about it. It has been wonderful, plus it keeps the pesky neighbors out. I still need to get no trespassing signs and beware of dog signs, because I am sick of their crap. On a happier note, we bought a shed. It sat in our front room for a good two months but we finally got it put up and by we again I mean Kevin and Cole. It is so nice not to hit the door on the lawn mower all the time. We still havent had the time to get the garage cleared out, but we will get there. Here is the before...

Here are the after. The grass needed some attention, but I am still waiting for the sprinkler system to be set up. I love Kevin but when he doesnt want to do something, he doesnt do it!

Last but defiantly not least cause we have a long way to go... Our gross ugly bought for our crack shack apartment, that worked for what we needed it has now left!!! Yes it is ugly and dusty but when you really dislike something it is hard to clean it, all those shelves, and then five seconds later it is dirty again. It was just a Walmart special that had to find a new home, (it has yet to do so- it is still sitting in out stair way-- yes I am bugged)

Projects

I have been up to projects will all my spare time. The one that I have focused much of my attention would now be my yard. We are working on it slowly but surly- KSL has been a good friend with all their free/cheap rocks, dirt, sand, etc. On our list of projects that we are working on is... 1- we are getting a fence!! so excited to be able to let the puppies out and not have to worry, and not having to put saxon on his lead will be even better!! 2- We are going to try to do concrete- this will be the hardest, it one the most expensive, you would not think this since Kevin has connections, but no it is still expensive. So we save our pennies and hope for the best. 3- we are finishing the area around the hot tub so it will no longer be weeds. We have gotten the stone for this area but there is still a lot of work ahead of us. I would also like to work on my flower beds and get those all put together but that really might have to wait until next year. But hopefully not, I think I have less time than I really do, so who knows what I will be able to accomplish. Only the future will tell. Here is a couple Before pictures with the After to follow later down the road.

I will have to get a picture of the hot tub area. Please notice how green and lush the grass is, I have worked really hard on this. It was the start of all the other projects!! We have a long way to go but we have plenty of time to do it!!

Summer here I am I have been lost for a few years now and never got to see you-- I did not forget about you dear summer, I am here to stay!!

GRADUATION!

I have officially done it! I have graduated from UVU with my Bachelors in Behavioral Science and my emphasis is in Sociolgy. It is about time is all I can say. It took long enough to figure out what I was going to do and now that I have my degree I am doing the same thing I did before. You really need a master to do anything, so I think I have decided to start my master program in January, that is unless I start to REALLY enjoy the time I have at home. It has been so nice to be able to work and then go home. I have started my weight loss journey, my house is cleaner, laundry gets done on a regular basis, and the yard is starting to come together. I did not walk with my graduating class, I did not want to spend my day listening to yet again other people talk. So instead I threw myself a little party all about me! It was much better.
Kevin got me the best graduation present a girl could ask for ( and i did ask for it) I got me a cruiser bike. It came with a basket and everything. It only has 7 gears but that is all I used on my other bike-- I dont really know what to do with all the other gears I am not a professional. We have taken the puppies out and I ran Saxons front pads off, so we got him shoes, he looks like a dork and just runs those off too ( I will try to get a picture) so he only gets to go on bike rides once a week. Loucie loves it, she runs pretty good and keeps up. But sometimes she just needs a little rest, and she loves her basket. hopefully she wont jump out of this one. Isn't it such a beauty?

Champion!!!

So it has been a while since I have posted, I know this. There have been a lot of things going on. Firstly, Kevins team won their hockey championship. They are the champions. Kevin had the most goals and assists out of everyone on the whole team!!! I am so proud. He has decided to play during the summer, and since there is less people to play they have moved the North Stars up a league. This has not been going so well. They play hard and everyone on the team is learning so much and they will be a better team once they go back to their division come winter. As of right now they are just doing their best. I love being able to go and cheer him on, a girl couldn't ask for a better husband. Way to go Love!!

Surgery

I have had this problem breathing. I get lovely sinus infections all the time, well this year it had gotten so bad that I felt like I was suffocating. I went to the ENT the beginning of this year and he told me it was just allergies. I felt so dumb so I went home, it just kept getting worse and worse to the point I wasn't sleeping. I went back, he was caved and did surgery. When he got into my nose things were a lot worse than he had thought and said it was much needed. hmmmmm I already knew that! Oh well. It was a really rough week of recovery. I am doing much better as long as I don't have violent sneezes :) Kevin was a great CNA- He took such good care of me, and the puppies were very loving. I feel much better and can smell things I never thought smelled. I still have allergies but at least I can breath through it. It is wonderful!

Hockey

Kevin has participated in an adult hockey league this year with his brothers. I am lucky to have changed jobs so that I can go to his hockey games and support him. These pictures are from the last game, it was a very important game the team we played were in 3rd and nipping at the North Stars (Kevins team) heels, but we won 4 to 2!! So we are in second in the league and working hard to keep it up. Playoffs start in February and the North Stars will be a tough team to beat. Kevin last game got one goal and two assists. I am so proud!! Kevin is #4 his brother Jonny is #3 and his youngest brother Zac is #42. These are priceless pictures mostly cause to get all three of them on the ice at the same time is almost impossible.

While I am not a huge New Years Resolution type person, maybe if I post things I want to accomplish I will be able to get them done. So here are my plans for the up coming year.

First: I plan to blog more than once a year.
Second: Blogs without pictures are no fun, so I will try to upload and post more photos
Third: Since we are going on a cruise I would of course like to lose weight. My plan is already on track, I have Biggest Loser for the Wii and Kevin got me a whole bunch of work out gear for Christmas- Now just to find the time.
Fourth: I will graduate- this is hopefully going to be an easy one but it will be just one more thing to cross off my list.

A LITTLE HOME DECORATING

We have been very busy the last few weeks, we have done a little decorating and spring cleaning, I have also competed in and finished a triathlon. Those picture and that story are yet to come. I just thought I would share our changes.
I have a thing for WELCOME signs, I think that people should feel welcome to come to your house and since we dont really know our neighbors I dont want them to feel like we are cold people. So I always have Welcome signs, Kevin would love to be a cold person and hide away in the house-- but it is now permanent! (well kinda)

I have found our house to be a bit cold and plain, not that I don't love our house but all the walls are white we just needed a little warmth. Here is the before and after pictures.

It is not just paint it is Venetian Plaster, it was a lot of work but I love it and it really warmed up the downstairs. Here is a close up picture where you can see the details of the plaster.

DOG WASH

We have this large new gas station by our house, I drive past it every day and i recently just noticed a large sign that says DOG WASH. I stopped by and peaked in the windows, and had a marvelous idea.

I will take the pups there and give them a bath. Sounded like a great idea, now Loucie is easy to bath in the shower she is content gets bathed then gets out and gets dried. Saxon he does not like the shower it scares him, Taking him to the dog wash was going to make this easier on both Kevin and myself. NOPE WRONG!!

Saxon did not like the ramp. This dog wash will be easier for Saxon but not Loucie. Loucie likes her HOT not warm water, and likes a towel dry rather than the dryers, Saxon didn't mind the dryers but did not like being off the ground. Oh well, it was a fun day and now Saxon will have more regular baths in the winter time when we cant just hose him down with the hose or have him play in the sprinklers. Over all it was a fun day. Well, maybe not for them.

I TRIED IT

Yep, you got that right! I tried sushi. Our friends Chelsey and Clint threw Micah a birthday dinner and we had sushi. Now I could not pass it up because that would be rude to go to a dinner and not eat anything. So I watched Clint roll the rice rolls, put the RAW fish in the middle with veggies. "OK yah right raw food cant be good for you!" But I was a sport and I ate it. It was not what I expected. My favorite one was the lemon ones. Will I be eating sushi any time soon, probably not. But at least now I can say I have eaten sushi. don't believe me....

A WONDERFUL DECEMBER

December is a great month, It is Kevins Birthday then just the Holidays and magic in the air, I love December. We had a few people over for Kevins birthday but I must admit for some reason I have no pictures. But It was fun and he was spoiled as usual. We went out to dinner at wingers and he got a couple of Movies and his usual snowboard pass to the Canyons.

After that I attempted to throw my very first Christmas party. We had our "family" over, (our family consists of 20 or so really close friends, you know the ones you can count on for anything- yes we have close to if not more than 20 of them.) When I proposed this Christmas party to out friends they said that we should do a fancy dinner, so everyone chipped in and we had a prime rib dinner.

How many pounds of prime rib do you need for a group of 20? our prime rib was 19 pounds!! I brought it home form Costco and got out my roaster pan, it would not fit! I was in trouble! Luckily I have a friend who owns restaurant and she was gracious enough to loan me a large pan that the roast would fit in. Whew-- My camera died right after I took a couple of pictures so I dont have many, we had prime rib, roaster asparagus, funeral potatoes, fluffy jello, homemade rolls, Caesar salad, and lemonade. If I had to say so myself it turned out amazing, Once again I have to say thank you to my wonderful brother who in the busiest time of year took time out to answer all of my freak out phone calls on how to make a prime rib, My brother truly is the best!

This is a picture of the house all done up. We had 3 tables and had to move the furniture in the living room to make everyone fit! It was a blast. We then moved out the tables and moved the couches back and had a great white elephant party, the best gift of the night would have to be the gift I received. It was a lucky dogs tail. It was a real life dog tail that was sewn onto a key ring. I will have to take a picture and post it. Our friend is a vet tech and they docked a little boxers tail she kept it froze it and gifted it. It was the best white elephant gift ever! Saxon and Loucie kept smelling it trying to figure out where the rest of the dog was. it was so funny. That was our December.
Our New Year rang in at another friends house, Hopefully this year will be great and full of new and exciting things. HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE! Now back to work and back to school and on goes life.

A SMALL UPDATE

Happy Thanksgiving! So I know I am late but better late than never right? We had a good thanksgiving. I attempted my first big turkey. I had a full thanksgiving dinner made for Kevin and his family. It was an experience that I hope to learn from.

Turkey wouldn't have been complete with out mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, fluffy jello and rolls. Then we had pumpkin pie and went our separate ways. We prepared for the one and only BLACK FRIDAY!!!!! We started at Target- we got an IPOD home docking station, some movies and games, then we headed over to Home Depot- and got some shelving for the garage. Then over to Recreation Outlet for some outdoor gear. Ended up at Wal Mart in Saratoga Springs- where everything was still out, it was like the Twilight Zone, people are just out and about doing there normal grocery shopping, it was so weird but we got some more movies and some toys. It was a great Black Friday if I do say so myself.

HALLOWEEN

This year we hosted the Halloween party!! We had such a wonderful time, there was food, music, wii games, and some great costumes.

We had my first attempt and bite size carmel apples, they were good but did not look very pretty- I will have to keep trying, of course carmel popcorn, but the best was the cakes and cupcakes that Micah made-it is Jack Skellington scene! it is amazing!

We had captain hook and tinker bell, we were my evil twin(you cant tell but i have red eyes and really dark makeup- pretty much I scared the crap out of everyone- it was freaky) Kev was a dirty doctor (I will leave it at that you can use your imaginations), Saxon was Elmo (it was amazingly cute but he is also not the most photo happy dog) and loucie was a cute little devil ( she loved all the attention that she got!) then we had a prego nun and a priest- then we have Mr. Obama, and a man riding an ostrage! These are just some of the halloween costume that showed up! But man can I say it was a great night!

so you see when it rains it pours. I post 2 times but dont expect anything for a couple of weeks. maybe thanksgiving if you are lucky but dont get your hopes up!

A LITTLE BUSY

I know that I am a slacker, I say that I am going to blog more but lets not kid ourselves, we all know I just cant do that. Any who- We have been busy the last couple of weeks.
We recently went up to Park City and ate at my brothers restaurant. It was so good, I love to go up there and get wined and dined. I really love my brother and a shout out to him for being the best chef I know. So I took some pictures of our food-- the problem is, they would bring it out and it smelled so good -that we ate half of it before I got the pictures.
(p.s. this is only have the wine and dine we got! half the food was gone before I remembered the camera!mmmmmmm so good!)

You all have no idea what you are missing. It is an amazing place and so nice, I always feel underdressed but thats ok- cause my brothers the chef!!

Friday was our 3 year anniversary!!! We have had our ups and downs- our highs and lows- but we have always been there for each other. This year we went just spent a lot of needed time together, so we had a great night up hobble creek canyon, and went to Texas Road house for dinner, and just hung out and spent time together and that is just what we needed. Happy Anniversary- I love you, Love!!

A Week Of Canning

I would like to start out by saying, I have the most amazing husband there is. I have decided to build our food storage- Last Sunday I was up late canning salsa, it turned out pretty good, I cant complain- next year I will get the food processor out at the beginning of the project instead of 3/4 the way through.

So then you would think I would be happy with that- Oh no-- I then went to work that week and got a great deal on a huge box of wonderful peaches. So I canned peaches all day on wednesday. They turned out delicious. I am so happy to be able to have fresh peaches all year round. Once again I would just like to say my husband is amazing for helping and putting up with me.

So are you now thinking oh she is done- oh no-- I then attempted jam, and once again it turned out pretty good. It is a Peach Raspberry jam and now I have a full years worth. So whats next?? I went to Walmart to get some more cans to can tomatoes but they were out! completely out! So we headed to Smiths- OUT! every where is completely out of cans. I am going to look later this week back at the Walmart.

Once again I would like to say I love my Husband- thanks for helping me, and loving me in all my craziness!

I know I do this I just dont know why.

I say I am going to blog, I put forth the effort and then I fail! We are just not the most eventful people. Usually by this time we have been camping a few times, we have done something new to the house, but we have not been camping at all this year. We have not done anything to our home. We have a lot to do just nothing done. There that is my excuse.
This year we did make it to Swiss Days, if you have never been you have to go next year it is so much fun. It is held over labor day weekend. Here are a few of my puchases- and can I just say I am so excited to get my fall decorations out. It will probably happen this weekend or next. Then I will have more pictures to blog about.

This is a picture of 2 little cute spiders that will end up somewhere on the floor.

This is a larger spider, it will sit out on our front porch for halloween time. I like cute Halloween and Kevin likes scary halloween, so I did not get the cute witch shoes, or glittery BOO sign, I compermised and we got some spiders we both agree on.

We also got these signs for our yard- I thought they were super cute, and they represent the "kids".

Today is a wonderful day!!! Our most wonderful friends- scratch that -our most wonderful family, had the prettiest little boy today. His name is Bryton Edward Hood. He was born at 3:14 p.m. He weighs 7 pounds 1 ounce and is 19 inches long. He has a ton of dark brown hair ( poor Micah and her heart burn) Micahs nose and Chases hands and feet (large). He is so special to have been born to such great parents who love each other and who are wonderful people. We have our own little family of friends up here- and this is just a great addition. Welcome to our "family" Bryton. We love you so much already. ( some pictures are missing but there are alot of good ones there. hope you enjoy)

Happy 24th of July.

Everyone wanted to go camping this year for the 24th of July. But if you are not up in the canyon early then you do not get a site and needless to say there were no sites left for us to camp in. So we had a BBQ at our house. It was not like every other BBQ, Yes- we had way too much yummy food- hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, rice krispies, cakes, the list goes on and on. But we also had a water balloon fight and played games and it was a great night.

But then the water balloon fight got a little out of
hand and turned into an attack!!!

And then it turned plain scary!!!

It all ended on a god note with a little ladder ball and some Wii-- that right make the prego one play the Wii, Maybe she will go into labor... ( and if that doesnt work at least the pups had fun- i promise that Koda and Saxon love eachother they are just playing)

VISITOR

We have had a little visitor lately. They come and visit, and Saxon tries to chase them away but they are too fast for him. but we kept him inside and got a whole bunch of pictures, this is right on the edge of our property good thing our camera was handy.

Our little boy just turned 1! He has gotten so big in the last year and I cant believe I thought he was so big when he was a puppy. What was I thinking?! We had the wonderful bbq for Saxon- he enjoyed the lovely hot dogs and k-9 cake.

He got some new bones that he loves and a ball. It was a pieced together rubber ball. thats right you heard what I said. WAS! with in minutes it was pieces.

Needless to say we had a blast. Even grandma and papa were able to make it up for his birthday. ( yes I know what you are thinking your parents came up for a dogs birthday.) YES ok well maybe they came up and we were their pit stop on their way to their grandchilds birthday. But if you ask Saxon they were here for him. Thanks mom and dad. We may have some trouble causers but they are the best pups ever.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!! We had a mellow holiday just hanging out at home, we had some friends come over and had a bbq. We had some hot dogs, watermelon, pasta salad, some rice crispies, a whole spread of food.

And the most important part of the whole day... SAXONS BIRTHDAY !!!!

BABY SHOWER

This has been a very busy weekend, and it has all ended with a baby shower. Our friend Micah is having a little boy, she is due the beginning of August. I throw her a friends baby shower and she got a lot of good stuff.

here you can only see half of what she really got! alot of clothes, and blankets, and a swing and car seat.

I did some research and figured out how to make a diaper cake. This is my first attempt- I think i did a pretty good job. It is a "cake" that is made out of diapers. It was the center piece to our diaper raffle.

She ended up getting a whole bunch of diapers and out friend Heather won the diaper raffle! The baby shower was a wonderful finish to a very busy weekend. Good Luck to Chase and Micah- we can't wait!!!

SUPPORT CYSTIC FIBROSIS

On Saturday we participated in a walk to support Cystic Fibrosis. The couple on the left end is Duane and Shavonica (Shevy) Shevy has cystic Fibrosis we all go out and support her. We all tried to wear yellow to show we were on her team. They raised a good chunk of money to help find a cure. But... Next year they will be raising even more because all of us are going to try to raise more money. So friends, family. and people who want be saving up to support us while we walk for cure for CF!!

There were a lot of people at the walk this year so there are more people becoming aware of how we need a cure-

The walk was only 2.3 miles but that was defiantly long enough to get me sun burned. Well worth it, anything to support Shevy!

There were a couple hundred people there. All supporting the same cause it was so cool. Our yellow group raised $2,000! Lets all make an effort to double it next year. If everyone just donated $5 it could be the year they find a cure.

We love you Shevy!!!

THE PARADE OF HOMES

The year we have been given tickets to the parade of homes from our friends Chase and Micah. We have 27 homes to see and we have seen 7 so far- they are amazing. Here are some pictures of what we have seen so far. and some thing I really like and might do to our home.

This home is 14,000 square feet- it has a swimming pool, and a really cool theater that has windows that goes into a exercise room so you can watch a movie while working out. it is pretty cool. It has a racket ball room, like 8 bedrooms- only 3-4 rooms were done up the others were empty. I do not know what I would do with all of that space you would have to have like 23 kids. No way!

This room i really like all the uneven lines. I want to do our nursery like this but uneven lines with no pattern, and with kid colors. I want to do a chair board half way up the wall and then the bars on the top half and a plain bold color on the bottom. We will see how this goes. I am a mind changer so it very well could change.

This room has the bead board that runs along the top all the way around the room. I really like the look I want to do this in out master bed room.

Yes it is true, I am another year old- not so much wiser! We had a wonderful birthday party that was planned by our lovely friends- My dad was in town and he celebrated my birthday with me and it was a blast! Our friends absolutely love him- it was a great day. Happy birthday to me!!!

I have come to realize that I am a blog slacker- aka blogacker- I am going to work on this this summer while I am home. Here is a quick up date on what it is going in our lives. Kevins work has started to pick up which has been wonderful- but we are a both a little worried for what this winter will bring- I have been working hard and now I have a wonderful work schedule. We are just homebodies and are working on our home, very slowly. Our pups are wonderful and smart little cookies. Over all everything is wonderful!

Yesterday Kevin went snowboarding up at the Canyons. So last night our friend Chase asked Kevin if he wanted to go again today. Kevin wanted to go because the snow was so good but didn't want to drive back up there the next day, but Chase wanted to go, so Kevin woke up at 7 and went snowboarding. On his way to lunch at the lodge who of all people does he run into? Jon from Jon and Kate plus 8. The story goes... Kevin was walking though the lodge and he saw Jon he says Jon and Jon turns around. Kevin told him how we watch his show all the time and we love it, Jon then handed Kevin this photo, and they chit chatted about the canyons and how he is going to keep coming back probably every year. So it is exciting. I wish I would have been there. I even thought about it because there was a concert up there for the final shindig at the canyon, but I am not a concert going type. Oh well, one day I will meet my famous person it just wasn't meant to be today.

Saxon and Loucie have been out and about enjoying the spring like weather. Saxons favorite thing to do is to have his ball thrown into the wet lands behind him and then he chases after it. He gets so excited when we play ball with him.

Loucie has enjoyed the new spring by sun bathing. She will just sit out on the deck for hours, just soaking up the rays.

So... I have been a huge slacker, i have not posted in a very long time, and now there are few followers I have let people down. But I do have an excuse. Saxon our lovable little boy chewed the camera cord. We had a second one i just did not know where i had placed it-- but then when i was cleaning this weekend i have found it!!! So needless to say just you wait because post and pictures are coming shortly. I have a lot to report-so expect a bunch of information. Stay tuned!!!

KEVINS BIRTHDAY

We had a birthday party for Kevins 25th birthday on Saturday December 6th. We made him a cake had some friends over, it was a blast. This is Kevin blowing out the candles of his birthday cake. Yes that is him with his tongue out-the candles were trick candles, he thought he was funny. You would think that after he spit all over the cake nobody would eat it but the next day it was half way gone. I guess we are a close set of friends. I want to say thank you for everyone who made his birthday special we have a great support group here, we are not a group of friends we are a family. I was a long loud night but Kevin had such a wonderful birthday I would do it all over again. Happy Birthday Love!!

This is our friend Cole (donkey) his birthday present to Kevin was a little lap dance. Kevin was laughing so hard I thought that he was going to start crying. this went on for a couple of minutes.

Which then lead to another lap dance that made Kevin happy boy! (from left to right) Shevy she is one of Kevin's best friends wife, Rachel is one of the friend, and Melissa is Coles girlfriend. He enjoyed himself thoroughly!

Halloween spooky cupcakes

I made these cupcakes from directions out of a magazine. needless to say the ones in the magazine turned out better, oh well, practice makes perfect. Halloween was interesting Kevin went to a Halloween party thrown by our friends who live across the pond. I worked at the Emergency Room--I can sum it up in the word interesting.

THE COLD HAS COME!!

Last night we got our first snow storm of the season. We have about 2 inches and it is still coming down slowly. It is cold and I don't like it. On the other hand Kevin was so excited that he stayed up until 5 am watching the snow fall. When he came to bed he says "it is snowing! it just keeps snowing! i just cant go to sleep i am not even tired. it is snowing!" needless to say he was asleep 3 seconds after his head touched the pillow. But I was happy to be awakened to the excitement of a little boy on Christmas day, just a big boy with excitement of the first snow fall. So I will work and Kevin will snow board, I have officially lost my husband to the mountains.

We gave Loucie a new hoodie for her birthday, Kevin took it off and she barked and tried to put it back on she is just little and needs help staying warm. He is in a birthday cake coma.

Our little girl turned 1 on Friday. It is silly I know, but she is my child and needed a party. Saturday we had a birthday BBQ for her she had hot dogs, k-9 cake, and birthday presents. She got a new hoodie from mom and dad, a poncho from Brute (thanks Kylee) and some puppy peanut butter(thanks Rachel), she was a spoiled little girl. She had so much fun that today she is pooped. Saxon on the other hand had no problem sleeping he would just fall over and sleep right in the middle of the floor he was out. The puppy cake not sitting to well with him this morning, probably because he ate it in 3 bites. It was a great 1st birthday. I can not believe we have had her for almost a year, our lives are much better with our "kids" in it.

FALL HAS ARRIVED

The first sign of fall has arrived at our house. The weather has started to cool and the fall smell is in the air. Kevin doesn't mind going to work because it is not too hot. The dogs like to hang outside. The air condition is not on full blast any more. We recently bought us a blazing Autumn tree it is a maple. This is the first sign that fall is upon us. The tree is just a little guy but its leaves are changing and starting to fall. This is my favorite time of year it is just so pretty, i cant wait until the tree is big and full of leaves. Until then we will hold of buying a rake the few leaves this tree has can be picked up by hand.

A NEW USE FOR THE NEW PUPPY

Loucie has found a new use for Saxon. She has come to find out that he is taller than she is, recently i have been helping a friend make some photo quilts for her family for Christmas. I have had my sewing table and things out, my sewing table is shorter than a normal table so it is easier to sew. I have a pin cushion that i have been using i have kept it on this table. Somehow while i am not looking Saxon grabs the pin cushion off the table and gives it to Loucie. She takes it to somewhere I will not see her and pulls the pins out one by one with her teeth and leaves them on the floor. I think that if i didn't stop her she would pull every single pin out. I think that Loucie will enjoy having him around. Needless to say I can not wait to have a fence and they can play with their toys outside!!Little trouble causers!

GETTING ALONG

We got Saxon on labor day, I was worried that Loucie wouldn't get along with him, she loves being the only child. But I think we are having some break throughs, Loucie gets up in the mornings now and goes and sits by his bed until I let him out. It has been good. Recently they have started playing this game with a loofah dog from petsmart. We have like 5 of these dogs but they both have to play with the same one. So Loucie will grab the head and Saxon will grab the tail and they just sit and tug. It is funny cause Saxon could rip it right out of Loucies mouth but he plays gentle with her. He even lets her win and she runs around the house with the loofah and he chases her, if he stops chasing her she starts to chase him around and around, they have really grown on each other. Loucie still gets her alone time with us but I really think she is starting to enjoy the company.

I guess that it is time i give it a shot, i have always thought it is weird for people to have blogs when they don't have kids. But here i am with my own blog. I am sure that once we have children my site will be more active but until then it will be quiet boring but i will get use to blogging while i can. so welcome to my blog.
